Nico

Meet our bouncy boy Nico, aged around 5 years old he is a lovely boy once he gets to know you and would make somebody a lovely addition to the family.

Nico can initially be unsure of dogs but is soon really happy and playful with them once he has got to know them but we believe he would be best as an only dog.

Nico has lived with a cat in the past, we are not sure how much interaction he had with it but we would not rule out him living in a home with a cat.

Nico is used to being left home alone so should be fine with being left up to 5 hours as long as somebody is around the first week or so to help him settle in.

As Nico is an energetic dog we are looking for a family that is active and willing to take him on walks and do lots of playing with him in an enclosed secure garden. We would like him to go to a home with someone who has had a Rottweiler or similar breeds before and knows their breed traits.

Due to Nicos past home he doesn't cope well when put under pressure or in a situation where he feels threatened and due to this we would like to rehome him into an area local to the centre so any potential owner can work closely with our behaviourist team at the centre.

Nico is very engaged with his handler and is very trainable so would need somebody who would like to carry on training with him once he goes home.

If you would like to meet Nico please pop down to the Centre and have a chat with a staff member.

Nico is currently at The RSPCA in Halifax. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Nico please email enquiries@rspca-halifaxandhuddersfield.org.uk or telephone 01422 365628.
